Blog Entry 11 - Lyon, France; Day 7

Lyon, we will meet again!

As not many people came to class today, I felt like this was the best class in the whole trip. We talked about stereotypes and perceptions in a comfortable and open environment where we were pretty much all internationals. We had really interesting conversations and learned why French people like to discuss so much. They are taught a lot of different things in school and always have an opinion. The teach explained this is why you can have a smart conversation with virtually every French person because. Some people leave because there are not a lot of jobs, and something I found particularly strange is the fact that the government helps unemployed people for up to 3 years with 70% of the salary, and most people abuse of this. Something has to be done. Something I noticed about the Chinese professor was that she was very funny but at the same time very direct and straight with her lessons, I think someone with her could teach wherever she wanted, but as she explained she chose to stay in France because of her husband and the kids they are now raising. After the class we went back to the hotel and prepared to leave for Geneva, (Yes, I'm well aware we've already gone there as a class, but I feel like there is still a side of Geneva I don't know) as that is the next stop for our trip with Tyler.

I absolutely loved this class!

What a great teacher!

One last look at the Plaza next to our Hotel

In the train, on our way to Geneva!

Another picture from the train, the landscape was really nice
